A Time to Reflect A.L. 3/31

Writing gives me joy. I am not one of those people that dreads keeping a notebook or doesn’t have things to say. But often I feel I don’t have anyone to listen.

So to those that have taken time to listen to me this month. Thank you.

Thank you for your encouraging words. They mean more than you will ever know.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. This is more than most people I work with take time to do.

Thank you for hearing me out– even if you didn’t agree with me.

It’s so important to surround yourself with people you know you can trust. People you can bounce your ideas off of and share freely what is our your hearts and minds. This month I decided to share with a group of strangers. Most people wouldn’t dare. But for me in an extremely difficult month you have given me a safe place to be you.

So thank you.

This one is for you.

  1. Abigail, I am glad you took the leap and decided to Slice with us this month! It is a wonderfully supportive community. It’s been a pleasure serving on your Welcome Wagon. Hope to see you on Tuesdays!

  2. What a great ending. I think so many of us end the month feeling surrounded by supportive cheerleaders. Glad you also had that experience. Isn’t it a great thing to be able to talk with students about, as a goal for their work in the classroom together? 🙂

  3. Your writing is developed and mature, maybe because you are not shy about journaling and always have something you care about saying. I have been so glad to read your work this month, to be one of the community of strangers you took a chance on. When you put it that way, wow it does take a leap! Thank you for trusting us with yourself. This is my 7th year and every year I thank my friend who made ME take the leap. I truly hope this community continues to be a loving and helpful place for you to put your unique, expressive voice out to. Take care and keep writing ✍️ ❤️
