Secret Obsession 3/28 A.L.

It’s not so secret to those that know me…

I love a good deal.

Even more so I love dressing my son in adorable outfits from England, Sweden, France … wherever the most adorable baby clothes come from I want them.

But not unless it’s the right price.

I feel like it’s my 6th sense. I just know when it’s going to be posted or just happen to swipe it up when passing by at the local thrift store.

But even more so than a good deal I love selling it after we’re done for a profit.

Does this make me a bad person?

Maybe. But the rush you get when you make 10-15 dollars more than you paid on something it worth it.

Of course I love giving things away and sharing with those in need.

But when my bi-yearly sale comes up watch out I am there to make some cash.

When I gain more than I spent the whole year in purchases I am left with such a satisfaction I can’t even begin to describe.

I love a good deal… because I am a good deal maker.

  1. I love that last line where you show us that you love it because it IS you! I get excited with you as you build to the big deal, the profit, the deal! Well done taking us on the journey with you.

  2. Sounds as if you are much more savvy about these things than I have ever been, and that you are really having fun! I bet his clothes are adorable.

  3. You are an impressive deal maker, way to hack those baby and toddler expenses! But I also notice how good you are at telling a story. You start with a great “hook” and end with a snappy, saucy closing sentence. I wonder, if you read all your writing for the month, will you be able to see yourself getting more and more proficient at these story-telling elements?

  4. I love a good thrift find…but can’t say I am adept at the resale end. It doesn’t make you a bad person; it makes you a pro at the fashion stock exchange game!
