Two A.L. 3/25

Two.

Here’s to our wild one.

The boy with wonder in his eyes

With swift feet and contagious grin

Happiest of birthdays.

May your days seem never to run out of adventures and the sun always at the golden hour.

May your curls dance and your smile be glued to your precious face. You make things brighter.

May you be filled with curiosity each day and may the world be kind to you.

Thanks for being the incredible you.

“You’ll always be a part of me

I’m part of you indefinitely

Boy don’t you know you can’t escape me

Oh darlin’ ’cause you’ll always be my baby” M.C.

  1. Oh my goodness, sweetness! I jumped into this post because it’s our son’s 8th birthday today, and also: we have a two year old who is also NOT terrible but actually quite delightful!! I find that three is harder:) As a mama to four young littles, we’ve seen it all:)
    Happy birthday to your darling!!

    1. What are the chances that two of my Welcome Wagon assignments have a child’s birthday on the same day? Kismet!

  2. Awww, congrats Mama! Lovely peon to your guy. So glad you wrote it. My favorite line is the one about the sun always being at that golden hour for him- that image really spoke to me. I also love the lyrics at the end.

  3. Oh, how very, very sweet! A dear friend of mine is celebrating her daughter’s two year old birthday today!! Happy celebration to you, as well! Doesn’t it seem, at once, as if the two years flashed by in a moment, with lots of long days and moments mixed in? Yay, two year old!!! (I taught preschool for years – love me some 2, 3, 4 year olds!)
